27-9 Feng Shui Challenge for Spring
Cleaning is not my forte. In fact, on a list of ten items it comes in at number ten. My siblings and my daughter also despise tidying up, and we clean the same way; we put things into piles, then put each pile away. We come by it honestly, our father was untidy, we just never knew it, because my mother picked up after him for 40 + years. When she passed away, we saw him as he really was, he made piles just like the rest of us.

How I managed to clean and organize my desk for the first time in my life
How I managed to clean and organize my desk for the first time in my life! Having a clean desk has never been possible for me. I feel guilty about it, but it doesn’t help. Some people are just naturally messy, I rationalize; everyone knows, creatives march to their own drummer. I come up with cute memes: “a clean desk is the sign of a boring and empty mind”. I drive others in my office crazy, because I wait till they leave for home, and then in the evenings and weekends, I work on their beautifully clean desks, because my desk is too messy to work on.

Live Better Cheaper
Live Better Cheaper Having money is better than not having money. Saving money is like earning money. Just ask Ben Franklin. He will tell you “a penny saved is a penny got ”. I will tell you that saving that penny gives you an extra penny to spend somewhere else.

My Spring Cleaning
Cleaning up after dead people (like in this movie, "Sunshine Cleaning") is pretty extreme. But many of us have had to do just that if we have inherited estates (minus the blood and gore, of course.) My inheritance involved an old brick house filled a hoarder's collection of mess. The property also had an old trailer house that had to be torn down and hauled away, and another old small frame house. To add to the hoarding, there are four sheds/storage house slap full of everything from A to Z and a dilapidated barn...all filled with anything from fine china to old calendars, doors, knick-knacks, windows, glassware, vintage treasures of varying shapes and sizes, and then there is "just junk!" I have wanted to call in the professionals like Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz on the television show, "American Pickers," but I'm not quite comfortable with me and my junk being on public display.

You're Smarter Than You Think You Are - Here's How To Unleash Your Potential
In a small gym in Merced, California, I watched my friend and teacher Dr. Chris square off with a kettlebell the size of a small watermelon. He grabbed it, easily swung it up to shoulder-height, and set it back on the rubber mat floor.

An Entropic Woman's Guide To Organization
Someone once told me that there are two types of people, and although I'm more of a "shades of gray" thinker, there is definitely some value in their perspective. I digress, someone once told me that there are two types of people, those who try to control their external world because their inside world is in constant disarray and those in control of their inner world, who don't mind if the world around them is in continuous chaos. I would fall under the latter.
