how to
How to do just about anything; life hacks to navigate obstacles of all types, from the trivial to the severe.
It all starts with a list....
I kept seeing posts all over social media of how people were bored during the pandemic. I didn't understand that. Being a long standing member of the social butterfly family, you'd think the staying put, don't socialize thing would drive me nuts. But I found myself with more than enough to do. I had a "I'll get to that someday" list. But the pandemic quickly taught me that even my To Do List needed revising. My intuition simply told me - make use of this time, be productive. March and April were easy months to keep busy as the weather wasn't always pushing me outside in Boston. But I needed a routine and a checklist. I wanted to come out on the other end of this feeling that I had accomlished something other than laundry and cooking. Not necessarily something new, just SOMETHING other than watching everything on Netflix.

Slap you into Shape
With every new year, we set out to make our lives better than the year prior; whether it be losing weight to have that sexy beach bod, gaining a grasp on your finances to get closer to that retirement plan or simply reading the top 100 comics of all time. No matter the task, we set goals that we believe will make our lives better. However, it could not be further from the truth. If you are working out to get that beach bod to simply look fit for everyone to see then, you are not getting healthy for yourself but for others; the experience is tainted from the start because of your perception of the goal you have set for yourself. Pay attention to this word, Perception because I will be mentioning it quite a bit. Perception is everything. You can have the best five-year plan to reach financial freedom but if your reasons for financial freedom are because you have a bougie personality and just want money; ultimately your life will be a waste of time. Or when you hit a wall and you just allow negativity to fill your life simply changing it to something positive will save you from total ruin more than you know; two negatives do not make a positive in real life situations. Your perception can make or break you; it will not be because you skipped out on a week at the gym or that your business investment fell through its because you are stuck on a negative outlook and it is preventing you from getting up and getting your shit together.

Declutter and Organize
Am I a hoarder? Well, let’s check the definition. According to yourdictionary.com, The definition of a hoarder is someone who collects things in their home obsessively, including things that would commonly be thrown away: bags, old food, or broken items. No, not a hoarder, yet. But it doesn’t take long for clutter to get out of control.

Renewal
I’ve never been great at bringing order to my life. Like anyone else, I find myself swept up by aspirations of a cleaner, uncluttered existence; like most of us, I lose steam: Three simple steps to organize your closets / mudrooms / spiceracks! (Simple one time, perhaps, but not on an ongoing basis.) Take control of your inbox! (Said the gods to Sisyphus.) Do this to trim your bellyfat! (Which has been with me since before the internet.) No matter my efforts to embrace the latest hacks, tips, or tricks, my life reverts to what it always has been: orderly only to the extent that I can wade through its clutter with my head above the surface.

How to ‘baby step’ your way to productivity
One day early in the pandemic, I didn’t start making good choices until early evening. The move toward productivity started with something quite small: eating two dried-up gummy vitamins. Once I did, further good choices cascaded upward to changing out of PJs (gulp), taking out the garbage and on to bigger things.

Making Money Online Decoded Just for You
Do you feel pressured to make a certain income or provide for the family? Is the job you slaving at for that income killing you from the inside? In a recent 2019 survey, 94% of American workers experience stress and anxiety at the workplace. That is a ridiculously high number. We know stress and anxiety are linked with lower quality of life and even sometimes death. I understand the pain you feel and are trapped by society pressures of studying hard, working hard, and then retire. Let me ask you something. Do you want to go to work right now? Do you like your job and would give your life for it? Has what you studied lived up to your expectations? If you answered yes, maybe this blog is not for you; however, if you said no, you should keep reading.
