Yesterday Was Easter
Author's Note: We hoped to find a place for all 16 people attending, but it wasn't to be. Our initial plan was to go to their building site and have the event at a large picnic table. The snow interfered with that plan. So, at the last minute, we called around. Nothing open until 6:30, which was too late for the young families to get together. It would be fast approaching bedtime for the babies. We decided to have everyone come to our house, which has plenty of space for us, but it is a stretch when bringing in some youngsters who need space to run and play, and outdoors is mostly out of the question. My daughter forgot the 100 plastic eggs she filled with candy and money. Another weekend when at the build site she said. “That way there will be no snow for them to track in and out.” After hearing that, I thought about how I too thought that would happen, and fogot to say something. That is what happens when you are not on Easter bunny duty anymore.
