extraterrestrial
Speculation, theory, UFOs and Aliens. Are we alone in this universe or is there life outside Earth?
Alex The Inventor-Chapter 14 (Pt. 2)
Read Chapters 1 - 14 at: Deep Sky Stories Chapter 14 (Part 2) - Time Fizz and Miss Vee... Teresa Vasquez waited for as long as she dared, allowing John Faraway time to tell Alex his story and pass on to him everything that had happened to him all those years. Time was running out though and she gave him fair warning.John finished, then said farewell to her and wished her good luck. He, of all people, knew how uncertain the future was going to be. Teresa wished John all the best wherever he was , then took the archive-disc and hurried away.A particularly hard jolt from the twelve tunneling Flies rocked the floor and caused Teresa to stumble against the safety rail which circled a small area in the center of the bubble-room. It was the area where the State-Shift Coils spiraled down from the ceiling, to a point three feet above the floor.Teresa picked herself up with a scared little cry, staring up at the coils and recalling as though it was just yesterday, that terrible night twelve years ago. The night of the lift-off with John, when their spaceship also trembled as the Flies attacked and Teresa stumbled and fell into the energized mist of the "Time-Fizz" cloud. When that happened, Teresa was dealt an unfair hand by fate and the exotic physics of state-shifted space-time.

Most Iconic Alien Encounters in Film
The most iconic alien encounters on film tend to leave an impact because they capture something human. Science fiction has always worked as an allegory for humanity's problems. H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds, one of the first depictions of first contact with alien life from space, used aliens as a metaphor for Europe's imperial conquests into "less developed" nations. England conquers lands left and right, but how ill-prepared would they be if an advanced civilization attacked?

Watching The Skies With 'Roswell'
When it comes to UFO events, few are more famous than the alleged events that took place outside the New Mexico town of Roswell in the summer of 1947. Yet that wasn't always the case though as for decades the case lingered in obscurity. While it had begun to come back to the fore, it was with this 1994 Showtime film that the case began to make an impact. Looking at the film, it isn't hard to see why as it may well rank among the best films made on the topic.

The Woodstock of UFOs, and You Missed It
Joshua Tree, California - Last weekend, among the ancient and gnarled joshua trees and placed gently under the firmament of the Milky Way galaxy, was an event that you probably missed. It's been touted as "The Woodstock of UFOs" and indeed you should be bummed you missed it this year, but not for the reasons you think.

Alex The Inventor-Chapter 14 (Pt.1)
Read Chapters 1 - 13 at: Deep Sky Stories Chapter 14 (Part 1) - Converging Paths Teresa Vasquez steadied herself with a handhold fastened above the navigational console in the bubble-room, as another shockwave thudded through the soil from above; it was getting closer too. Things were going to get a bit nerve-wracking really soon, it seemed.

Alex The Inventor-Chapter 13 (Pt.2)
Read Chapters 1 - 13 at: Deep Sky Stories Chapter 13 (Part 2) - An Unexpected Visitor... Elizabeth was beside herself with worry, where was that young scoundrel now? She paced the floor of her living room, ringing her hands. He was in that scrapyard, she was most certain of that, but where? It was so big and like a maze, with all those hills of scrap and wandering trails in amongst them. It could just as easily be a forest, there was so much to it all, and what if he was stuck somewhere in there? Maybe his foot got tangled in something while he was clambering about in the dark. Mrs. Faraway was quite independent and could get through most crises on her own, but this was her son!

Could Ancient Aliens Really Have Existed?
"Aliens, dude." Everyone knows that meme with the stoned-looking historian smiling as he waves his arms in the air. The Ancient Aliens series, which aired on the History Channel, was one of the first television shows to really look into the possibility that humans may not be the only species to have found earth.

Truth
I was interested in sci-fi stories from the early age. In high school at lunchtime, while others were busy with physical activities, I was busy activating my imagination reading Greek mythology. It was not long before I realized that the imaginary deities portrayed as gods and goddesses in Greek mythology were simply fictional characters created by professional sci-fi storytellers of the time. Those wishful thinking scenarios produced by creative minds of primitive humans were demonstrating the power of imagination, the subconscious mind, and intuition; in absence of knowledge about the physical reality and the world which they had to struggle with, in order to survive. However, the fascinating, inspiring, and motivating stories had always helped me stretch the limit of my own imagination beyond the boundaries of political correctness and religious beliefs.

Bizarre Boyajian’s Star (‘Alien Megastructure’ Star) is Dipping Again!
The weird star called Boyajian's Star (aka Tabby's Star or KIC 8462852) has been fascinating astronomers and people in general because of its weird behaviour of experiencing sudden, unusual dips in brightness which all current theories have so far had difficulty explaining. Now, the star has started dipping again after a long period of "normal" activity.

Alien Anatomy
Bug-like, viscous masses or as green dwarves with big eyes, science fiction has presented us with many interpretations of aliens, but the stereotypical image of an extraterrestrial depicts them with bilateral symmetry (two legs, two hands, two eyes, etc.). Like us, they use their inferior extremities to move and the superior ones to use tools. Now we can predict, with recent scientific knowledge, how they would really look.

'UFO and Outer Space' Comic Book
When I was growing up in the 70's, I did read a variety of comic books. Everything from the super hero to TV and movie tie-ins, and anthology series. One anthology series stood out and was a favorite of mine: UFO Flying Saucers also known as UFO and Outer Space. The comic was about real life reports of UFO encounters from the files of Project Blue Book, the official U.S. Air Force investigation of UFOs, and reports from other sources. UFO Flying Saucers was published by Gold Key comics from about 1968 to 1978. The stories would come in different formats in the comic, a full story based on an incident, a two page spread on UFO origins, and comic panel on UFO hoaxes and frauds. It also came as computation book which contained comic stories of previous issues.
