True Friendship Is Eternal
I have friends who I may not speak to for months, and I have friends who I lose contact with and then reconnect with and then started thinking that real friendship is eternal and will always be there. I feel sad for people who give up on friendship, often because of misunderstanding and refusal to forgive.

There Is Nothing Here
================================= This was originally an empty post but Vocal pushed it into drafts. Maybe this extra explanation with keep it on my list. The intention was to test the lower limit of posts within the Vocal Poetry community.

THIS ================================= This was originally just a single word but Vocal pushed it into drafts. Maybe this extra explanation with keep it on my list. The intention was to test the lower limit of posts within the Vocal Poetry community.

My Haiku Issue. Top Story - February 2023.
Introduction When Vocal gave us the High-Ku challenge I was quite pleased, but a Japanese friend informed me that what I was writing was not actually haiku but in fact senryū. You can read about the two forms in the links below, but a haiku should include a preferably implied seasonal reference and a “cutting word” to redirect the poem. Vocal completely ignored this in the requirements and when I checked, I don't think one of the winning entries was a true haiku, though I may be wrong.

How Full Are You?
Introduction I'll be honest I joined Vocal to win challenges but was soon aware that I will never be good enough in Vocal's eyes for that, but I have gained an absolute treasure chest of wonderful supportive loving friends and while recognition with financial recompense is great to get, my friendships to me are worth far more.

The Bones Of Sordric
All In A Night’s Work It had been a good night. The house he had robbed had no one in and no alarm, the other thing the back door had not been locked. He wandered through the house, this guy still had DVDs and CDs so obviously had not moved with the times.

EnjoyTheBedFeeling
Seems I have been writing poems for a bit longer than I thought. This is the original text from the Seven Days In post The thing is it's Saturday tomorrow so this is a distinct possibility for all of us. And I need some music to go with it, and I think Kites by Simon Dupree and The Big Sound (who later morphed into the excellent Gentle Giant) but be a perfectly ethereal way to wrap this up. The video is something I took at the Washington Kite Festival in 2010 which I went to with Fiona, my friend Nicky and her children Sharné, Alisha and Donovan

There Is Always Hope
I have been feeling very down, so much that I decided to stop writing and then paradoxically decided to write about it. It is so easy for me to feel self-pity but then thought maybe I should write a poem about kindness. In our cashless society yesterday I picked up a pound that someone had dropped on an Edinburgh pavement, and then later a homeless guy asked me for a tab (cigarette) which I didn't have, but I did have that pound coin which I gave to him. It only cost me the effort of picking it up off the pavement but it was worth it to see him smile and thank me.
