It's the most wonderful time of the year! Everyone is gearing up for Christmas and Six Flags Over Texas will not be left behind. From the decorations and different activities the employees have spent tremendous effort on to the carols that can be heard throughout the entire park; here are some of my favorite things to do at Holiday in the park and some things you may want to check out when planning your visit.

Budapest Went Crazy for Christmas
I think there are many reasons why people tend to go to central European cities for little getaways throughout their 20s. I personally know first hand how diverse and exciting our continent can be (Boo Brexit). What I found really astounding about Budapest, however, was how evident all of these different tribes of tourists were, and how well they complemented each other.

Grand Canyon West and the Skywalk
Guano Point looks almost unreal in its theatrical beauty. As the sun started its descent over the streaked plateaus of the Grand Canyon, and tourists shuddered in the stinging cold, I couldn't help lingering in the shadow of the old metal skeleton of an ancient mining structure.

Something Transcendental
Growing up in eastern Massachusetts, it was a given I should run into the deeply historical roots buried here beneath the soil of modern life. ‘You Only Lose What You Cling To’ . Top Story - December 2017.
I was front row in the Shrine Room, eyeball to spectacle lens with the chief nun and her big spongy microphone. The setting could scarcely have been better: a beautiful gold Buddha, scent of the Gods, a lovely warm room full of eager acolytes.

Best Places to Visit to Experience the Great Lakes
1. Keweenaw Peninsula At the top of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, the Keweenaw sticks up into Lake Superior. The peninsula is characterized by mountains and cliffs, streams and waterfalls, and splendid views of Lake Superior. Along the shore of the lake, you can collect some interesting rocks, and at night, the clear air gives way to some amazing views of the stars. You will have very limited cell phone reception, but the nature should make up for it. Make your way from the Keweenaw Bay at the Southern end to the small town of Copper Harbor at the Northern tip. Enjoy the hiking and swimming and rock collecting and make sure you eat a pasty or two. Look to the Northwest on a clear day and see if you can spot the next location on the list, Isle Royale.

The Secret Places Around the City of Paris
I went to Paris three years ago and I will tell you upfront the smell of pub crawls and piss lining the streets never wavered from my nose anytime I walked around the city. It was my first time in France and so far reminded me of the streets of Dublin that I had longed to parade again.
