Dear Lord I Pray
Please god will you help? with all my heart, I pray this day
Dear Lord I Pray
Last night I said prayer after prayer,
Asking God to spare someone I love dear.
Today, it’s all just as bleak—
Please, God, listen as I speak.
The outcome is in Your strong hands,
Life and death at Your command.
If You can’t help in any way,
If today is hers last, dear God, I pray.
Hold her close, don’t let her fear,
Let her know that you are near.
If her time has come to leave,
Ease her pain and grant her peace.
Let her soul find rest, love and light,
Guide her safely through the night.
Though my heart will break in two,
Lord I trust in You—what else can I do?
