He was much too young! I was thinking As Peter my ex-boyfriend was telling me about our mutual friend Thom. He had a massive heart attack the last he had heard; he was just getting around to feeling normal. Thom and I were good friends before Peter, and I had broken up and I moved out of the house we all shared.

The Owls of Crowned Oak Estate
The Crowned Oak Estate is a home nestled in the village of French Settlement, Louisiana. I happened to stumble upon it, by chance, shortly after my first husband died. I had known that I was ready to move forward in my life, my mom and I had been out all day looking at various homes and pieces of land on the market. Deep down, I was fighting the choice between buying an apartment in Nashville to live my biggest dreams, or finding a place my children deserved to call home. On one hand, I craved the rush and thrill of existing within a city, on the other I could envision chickens, flowers, orchards, tire swings, and the certain sense of accomplishment that comes from living a country life.
