The Healthcare Job that Nobody Talks About
Desiring a job in the medical field led me down an arduous path. I tried out for dental school after college and didn't quite make it. I then followed down the nursing path, and didn't feel that was a good fit either. A few years and conversations later after countless research on other allied health careers, I found myself linking up with a field that served me in more ways than I could count. I mean I finally got the hospital job I wanted that fit my technical wit and personality, sort of. Have you ever heard of sterile processing? It’s a department in the hospital that sanitizes the instruments needed to take care of people, especially those in surgery. Little did I know that this department is the heart of the hospital, and a well-oiled machine. Not only do you need the technical know-how to accurately and safely clean instruments, but you also need the interpersonal skill to work with the people in your department who help you do that. Because the department is split into many sections, it takes teamwork to make it all come together. You need to know all the surgical instruments which can be learned through flashcards. And then you need to learn all the sterilizers and cycles that they process. You learn the function of each section of the department by reading manuals that you can find online through a certification program. I did mine through The Sterile Processing University, over a two month period, for $800. This was the most cost-effective method for me, but a better chance at getting hired in a hospital is through a school that will give you hands-on experience. One I recommend is Asceptic Technical Solutions in the Greater Philadelphia area because my former boss owns the school, but there are others that are just as good.

Struggles of a Writer
I’m going to be honest, even though I’m a writer, I still struggle to get my writing done. If I had to describe how I feel about my writing, it would be a love/hate relationship. I love it because I’m able to fully describe my emotions on certain things, and clear my mind for the sake of my sanity. I hate it because every time I sit down to write something down, my body throws a tantrum and does everything in its power to distract me from getting any kind of writing down.

Workforce Warriors
Dear workforce warriors, From day one, all of you had made our lives so much easier than we even realized. The truck drivers transporting goods from all over the country, the packaging workers at Amazon, grocery store workers, gas station workers, fast food restaurants, nurses, and doctors, and so many more. You've always made it possible for us to live in a less stressful, easy functioning world. Stocking groceries weekly, so we always have what we need in our homes, and aren't starving. Receiving online orders and packing them accordingly in a timely manner, ensuring we receive everything on time. Driving for hours and hours on end from one end of the country to another just to transport our goods, and packages. Taking care of us when we are ill, and ensuring any conditions every individual has is treated accordingly. Being open all hours of the night, so we can make pit stops on road trips, or pick anything we need in the middle of the night up with no issues. Preparing food daily for us to enjoy after we worked long day's, and are too lazy to cook, or if we just don't know how to cook. Regardless of the scenario, each and every one of you was there. Through good, and now through the terrible. You've all had your own way of taking care of us by doing the little things we normally don't even think about.

My Recent Adventures in Screenplay Writing
I’m a very fortunate newbie to the screenwriting world. A good friend of mine who is sort of a fan of my short stories and novels and a very experienced screenplay writer with credentials to back it up has taken me under his wing. So far we have co-written two and a half screenplays together, one based on a novella I wrote, a comedy, and the current one we are working on.

Life after Game of Mass Destruction
I've written quite a lot of stuff about my novel Game of Mass Destruction already but I wanted to talk about some new things among other things that didn't really fit into other articles I have written about my own novel. In my last post on Vocal, I said that I had sent copies of my book to fan mail addresses to a few celebrities that I really admired for their work.

Introducing Myself
I am Little Feather, 16th Great Grand Daughter of Elder White Feather of the VA Iroquois Nation and 14th Great Grand Niece of Dragging Canoe of Western Cherokee Nation. I am Married, no children of my own and for good reason. I am Mom to one Cat Duke and two Dogs, Bandit and Billy. I dream of one day opening a small store of my own and to live simply. I was born in Santa Monica, CA and I am 41 years of age. I don’t own anything except what few physical possessions I am left with and the knowledge that I wish to impart in this Book. I am Pedigreed to 16+ Generations of Family Lineage. As a child, I began to have experiences that I didn’t understand at the time and after a serious injury and illness, I believe that something was left open and never closed again. As I got older, the experiences intensified. Early in life, I had discovered my family’s rich history of Native American Heritage and links to Metaphysical Abilities. There is a long line of Mystics, Psychics, Healers, Shamans and Church Clergy. It seems that the Abilities of which I had closed off and shut down, have come open to a smaller extent, got passed to me from my earliest predecessors. I have also at present time, discovered the name of my Guide. His Name is David. Welcome to my crazy, Psychic, messed up life. I also inherited cell memory from lifetimes past and I know some things without knowing how it got there. I am allergic to Makeup so I rarely wear it. I prefer to be natural. Expect under eye Concealer and Lip Gloss if you meet me. I will explain more in this Book. I don’t claim to be anything special or extraordinary. I am simply me.

Jax In A Box
So, I run a shop on Facebook that is basically a dud. I'm trying my best. I've only sold one thing. It was a knit hat and I sold it to my uncle. I'm pretty sure he only bought it because he loves me. It was the best $10 I ever put towards a pack of cigarettes that I ever made and spent. I hope I can do it again. Seriously now, though... Let's talk about this for a minute.
