humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
Quit “Hearingsplaining” to the Deaf Community. Top Story - December 2019.
We all know the “-splaining” slang - mansplaining, whitesplaining, straightsplaining, and so on. If you don’t, it’s when someone explains or talks in a condescending, overconfident, and often inaccurate or oversimplified manner on a topic to a specific group that’s already well-versed in that topic, but told from the perspective of the group one identifies with.

Why 15 years later at 36, I partied like I was 21...
Wow! That night was insane!! The night of my thirty-sixth birthday party! July 2019! Can you imagine me 13 shots in and having mixed drinks?! Those that know me well are laughing...those that were there that night are smiling and reminiscing! Those of you who may be acquaintances or know of me, might be taken aback - but if y’all only knew!!

Journal entry 12/26/19
Yo lemme just start by saying my previous entry didn’t meet the minimum word count (didn’t know that existed), but it got approved because of the “uniqueness” of the post. 😂 Thanks, I guess? Anyway, let’s get down to business. I’m currently lounging in my pjs, (braless, of course) with a face mask on hoping it’ll take everything out of my pores. I am ORANGE. I could be Trump’s sister...😂😳 Ok, you can’t see it in the picture. I just look shiny as heck. Also, I haven’t washed my makeup off all the way.

What it's like to grow up dirt poor
I'll never forget the day when I was 24 working a part time job and needed a ride home to my dad's . I had recently just left my abusive husband at the time and didn't have my own vehicle as he would never let me get my license or my own vehicle. My co worker at the time offered to give me a ride to my dad's how. the house i grew up at.

I almost went out with a sex offender
So I will start this post off by putting a trigger warning in effect. If you are triggered by assault or rape this is not the post for you. I will not use a fake name for this guy because the case is public record and you can google this name and "Dragon con assault" to find details about this case.

Paradise Awakening
Life yields many lessons, of which we are all aware and of which, if humility adorns our conscious thought, we are aware of our unawareness of. These lessons may be revealed in a myriad of ways. Some light and easy to understand, some extremely painful and cloaked in the darkness of confusion. Some are taught to us from our wonderful teachers both friendly and foe and can also be wrapped like a gift in a poem, movie or metaphor. This lesson of which I became “aware” took place in one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever been.

Love Is not Given It’s Felt Felt!!!
99.9% of the people on the planet want to experience real love, intimate love, family love. But in order to experience that type of love, you must understand that it has nothing to do with you. Yes, I said it. Nothing at all—unless you're the one doing the loving. Of course, you can’t pick your family. You just have to cross all your fingers and toes and hope your higher power puts you in the right place, which is a 50/50 chance.

A snake catcher’s perspective on FEAR
I am in the middle of writing a book on the subject of fear and how I have come up with a different perspective on fear and how fear towards certain animals are similar to our fears towards eachother as well as our differences and how our behaviours with dealing with that fear aren’t much different to the way we deal with our fear towards other animals. I thought I’d share the main ideas of the book, in this blog, hoping for a positive response and see how much interest it generates.
