Corona a Global Awakening

By Kathleen BrewingtonPublished 6 years ago 6 min read

Globally in our current affairs of planet Earth we have a number of things happening in a viral way. The first of which set it all in motion a pandemic like never seen before called Coronavirus, sweeping from person to person through every city, town, state and country. Second, globally people and families are at home instead of at work instead of being out in the world. Forced to spend time with one another and realize whats most important in life.

Third, healthcare, groceries, mail, police, and others maintains essential service so that people have access to meet basic needs, they are the front liners risking their lives and without them all would be lost. Fourth Governments globally are getting a wake up call learning that their current systems and their functions are inadequate and fail to care for their citizens appropriately.

Fifth, globally wild animals are coming down in towns and cities exploring, wondering where the humans are. Sixth our planet Earth home to us all is getting a much needed break from pollution from cars, corporation and industrial industry. Seventh, globally the human race is working together collectively to slow and contain the virus, as well as help one another. Eighth, a great awakening is underway, touching all life, it is unprecedented and has captured the worlds attention.

Around December 31, 2019, China identified the virus we now call Corona. This virus does not care if your male or female, young or old, what religion or sexual orientation you choose. It does not care if you are rich or poor, it does not care what ethnicity you are, it knows no borders, it sneaks its way into the body, causing illness with respiratory distress . Its spreading like a wildfire, and has touched every country on our Earth home, and continues to snatch away our friends and family members. To date Corona has stolen the lives of 58,148 precious souls. While nearly a million more have just been told they are infected , and their battle begins with the torment have I spread this? will I survive or am I gonna die? My heart goes out to all, and I wonder is heaven creating a new army of angels?(Worldofmeters, 2020)

Globally families and people are quarantined in their homes, in an effort to slow the spread, and to do their part to help contain this awful virus. Collectively hunkering down spending time with family. Some have turned to humor and share it on social media, some have become hoarders buying up essentials products being selfish taking more than they need. While everyone is grounded at home," now is the time to get your house in order and act accordingly", as a dear friend of mine would say. And many are awakening to what truly matters in life, and to how many things we have taken for granted we now see and have a new found gratitude for, like toilet paper which seems to be a hard commodity to come by. People are collectively connecting at home, on social media, by phone, looking out for one another. Meanwhile others are drawing their last breathe, families are losing loved ones, and grief is world wide. And our hearts go out to them.

The healthcare workers on the front lines caring for the sick are overwhelmed with patients, and have to do this with inadequate amount of supplies and all the while risking their lives. Hospitals are all on overload, and healthcare workers plead for supplies needed , and look to our government leaders to fulfill their needs so they can continue on with caring for our loved ones. They battle on. We owe them a thank you for all they are doing on our behalf.

Grocery store staff also keeping us feed, giving us our basic essential needs, risking their lives so we have what we need for survival. Police and military maintains order, keeping our neighborhoods, cities and towns safe, and they too risking their lives every shift they work on our behalf. The mail still comes, pharmacy's open making sure people have their medication, And all do so with a new behavior called "social distancing", in an effort to not spread corona to one another. Social distancing means to stay 6ft from another person while handling your essential needs.Without the heroic efforts of all the front-liners survival would be lost, chaos would ensue. We owe them a big thank you. Thank you for making sure we have access to essential services and goods to be able to survive.

Governments globally are waking up to the fact that the current systems we have relied upon in providing resources, basic needs for their citizens is flawed, it is broken and inadequate. Those that control the resources and systems of things fall short at providing what is needed and necessary for the supreme values which is the human race, and our earth home. Business as usual has ceased for many worldwide, and the ability to function economically and financially is forcing governments to step up to the plate. Forcing governments to collaborate and work together in an effort to contain the virus, and in an effort to care for the people worldwide. Big change within the systems is necessary they see this now. And when this virus is contained can go about rebuilding more intelligently, and more humanly for all mankind and our earth home we share.Another thank you to the governments globally working together for our benefit.

The animal kingdom is freely roaming the empty streets in our cities and towns, exploring, wondering. where did the humans go. Countless sightings worldwide of monkeys, cougars, goats, deer, bears ect. All over the globe the animals roam, even animals collectively know something is happening on a grand scale on the planet, and their instinct is to go an investigate (Straittimes, 2020).

Planet earth is getting a break from the pollution we normally pump out on a daily basis from driving cars, factories and industry's. Suddenly large cities with poor air quality the smog and pollution is vanishing and the air is becoming clearer and cleaner. All over the globe the brown clouds that use to blanket big cities is disappearing bringing clear blue skies for all, its been many years since the sky's around the world were this clean clear and beautiful{Eoronews, 2020}.Perhaps in effort to keep them this way a collective global day of the week should be adopted where everything is shut down for the health of the planet, and for families after this crisis is over. To continue to work with mother nature to reduce pollution, and for families to have one day a week to just be a family, a global day off once a week could be an answer.

Collectively all over the world people are united and are working together to slow the spread of this virus and to find away to contain it. Governments have come together in the effort, scientists from all over are working toward a cure, vaccines to eradicate Corona are happening. Front-line workers are caring for our basic needs. People on social media are sharing their stories, news, information, talents, and humor supporting one another. People in every city, state, and country are staying at home. The human race is working together globally for the first time in history, on a very grand scale, and awake to a new reality that touches us all, We are all connected, and it is together that we find solutions, make necessary changes, and end the pandemic. When we start anew it will be with more intelligence, more compassion, more gratitude, and with the realization of what is truly important in life. Peace and richest blessing to all, stay safe and healthy, and together we will get through this and change the world for the better! And a final thank you to every citizen on the planet doing their part!
