Stranger Things: 5 Most Important Characters Heading Into The Final Season
Stranger Things has dropped the second volume of season four on Netflix, and boy, the two movie-length episodes are quite the rollercoaster. While there were plenty of cheerworthy moments, such as Steve, Robin, and Nancy's weakening of Vecna, Hopper defeating a Demogorgon with a sword, and Hopper's sweet reunion with Eleven, there were also some tragedies, such as the death of Eddie Munson, and Max being left comatose after a near miss with Vecna. So near, in fact, that her heart stopped, giving Vecna the four deaths required to open four gates to the Upside Down across Hawkins. And while Nancy, Robin, and Steve weakened Vecna, the villain still escaped to fight another day.

As the biggest show on Netflix, Stranger Things has reached a gargantuan level of popularity. Unlike other creations from the platform, it has regularly succeeded at getting us fully invested in the story and characters. The highly anticipated fourth chapter has arrived; going both deeper and darker than previous entries.

Grief and 'Big Hero 6,' Baymax Debuts on Disney Plus
On June 29th, Disney is bringing back Baymax! The hero of the 2014 animated movie, Big Hero 6, is getting his own 6 episode series and fans are excited to have Baymax back. The voice of Baymax, Scott Adsit is returning as is Ryan Potter as the voice of Baymax's best friend, Hiro. And, Maya Rudolph is reprising her role as Hiro's aunt. There is no indication that the Big Hero 6 mech team will be back, they had their own series which just ended its run last year. With Big Hero 6 returning as a series, I decided to reflect on the 2014 movie which was a surprisingly thoughtful and dramatic kids adventure with some big themes regarding death and grief.

Illusion Versus Reality in Martin Scorsese's Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore
The central conflict of Martin Scorsese’s 1974 drama, Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, is a conflict between illusion and reality. The film is about the fictional life we create for ourselves as a protective case against harsh reality. It’s not just Alice who does this, we all do it to some extent. Life can be hard and re-framing negatives to positives can be helpful even as a self-deception. For Alice, the self-deceptions multiply in order to justify the choices she made in her life.

Why 'Netflix for Books' Will Never Work
Publishing is filled with pretty smart people. Admittedly, I'm biased about this, because some of them publish my books. But I'd say that even if they didn't. When it comes to producing books in a fickle, strange industry, the business is filled with people who know how to get it done.
