God Can't Save This Queen
Robert Massimi. God Save Queen Pam at The Players Theater is in the same genre as the movie Ralph, where a nobody schlub is exalted to the hierarchy. Actress/ writer Erin Murray Quinlan is a happy-go-lucky bartender in Secaucus, NJ when Col. Eleanor Ainsley and Major Johnathan Digby show up at The Tiki Bar in the Meadowlands, just outside New York City, to inform her that she is to be the new Queen of England. She is next in line to the throne as England just lost their king, who suffered a heart attack at the altar. The would-be queen, Lady Fenella de Dieul (Marie Minette Linder), is none too happy about losing her crown due to the king's untimely death and will do anything to get it back. Her goofball son, Augustus de Dieul, is forced to go along with his mom's scheme to get her to the throne. Pam (Erin Murray Quinlan) has to learn in short order the rules and protocols of being queen. She is overwhelmed by the massive meetings and structure that it takes to be the queen. She clearly hates the job and all the structure and stiffness that goes with the job. She is not allowed to date the handsome Major Jaimie Toben (David Ventura), who has deep feelings for her right off the bat. Pam is a cross between Melissa McCarthy and Roseanne Barr, she is quite comedic and the first fifty minutes get on nicely.

'A View to a Kill' - Roger Moore's Last Mission
Hello, and welcome back to Second Chances where my mission is to spotlight the unfairly maligned and ignored. Back when I looked at the scores of John Barry (a composer best known for his work with the James Bond movie franchise), I chose to highlight the music from the 14th official entry in the franchise, 1985's A View to a Kill. I mentioned that it is my favorite movie in the series to this day. I knew I was going to have to explain myself since this one constantly shows up near the bottom of other fans and critics' official rankings of the Bond movies. Even the star Roger Moore was quick to dismiss it. I just can't agree, though; I love it! I know part of my affection for it is nostalgia; A View to a Kill is actually the first Bond movie I ever saw when I was just 7-years-old. However, that isn't the whole reason. Does it have problems? Absolutely. Do those problems hurt the film? In some ways. Does it have good stuff in it? Hell, yeah!

Review: 'Incredibles 2'
After waiting 14 years, Pixar decided to start Incredibles 2 with a pretty random interrogation— instantly, I knew Pixar had once again made something different than what I had expected. I’ll be honest, I was quite pessimistic about this one, thinking it was gonna go all Cars 2 on us and be a total flop; I’m more than happy to report that my expectations were both met and slightly exceeded. Pixar isn’t too hot when it comes to sequels, but this one will surely be right up there with the second and third Toy Story as one those that stand above the rest.

'Incredibles 2': Movie Review
Movie sequels are tricky. Old audiences have to be convinced that the original story merited a sequel in the first place, and upon sitting down to view one, have to be convinced that the plot of the movie is worthy of bearing the name of the first. There is also the issue of relevance, which is usually why sequels come out soon after the first movie with a gap of 2 or 3 years. In recent times, franchises like Marvel have shaken it up with sequels to their blockbuster series The Avengers having a gap of around 5 years between each installment, which makes sense given the massive hype surrounding each installment in the series.

'Ghostbusters' 2016 - A Short and Belated but Much Deserved Review
I first heard about the latest Ghostbusters film through a work colleague – “Did you hear they’re making a new Ghostbusters? Yeah, they’re re-doing it — with girls.” Like any other teen-to-twenty-something year old female, I was intrigued and excited by the concept. Watching “girls” kick ghost ass sounded like exactly the sort of thing I wanted to see. For whatever reason, however, it took me two years to finally watch it when it appeared on Netflix.

Dun-dun-DUN-da-daaaaaa!! Dun-dun-dun-da-DAAAAAA!! I am just a little bit obsessed with The Incredibles right now. We have been waiting for a sequel for fourteen years, and we have finally gotten a sequel to Pixar's family superhero movie.
