'Ocean's 8' Had the Makings of Something Great
Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, and Rihanna are some of the big names thrown at this film. Add in the hilarious trio of Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, and Awkwafina and the cast alone is enough to get you excited about Ocean's 8.

'Jurassic World' Review
Okay, so I loved the Jurassic Park series, the films and the books. I have seen both Jurassic World movies like any movie fanatic would, and I have several things I would like to say. With any movie creating a 'new series' based on its original story line, there will be some problems. Now this is my own opinion on these movies, and you are completely free to disagree... but here are my thoughts.

'Submergence'
James (James McAvoy) and Danny (Alicia Vikander) meet at a hotel on the coast of France where they supposedly fall passionately for each other before going on their respective missions. James is a British spy preparing for a mission in Somalia and Danny is a bio-statistician preparing for a career-changing deep-sea dive.

'Thor: Ragnarok'
The third installment of the Thor series was a complete failure. The over-use of comic relief was extremely unnecessary. There were seldom scenes of seriousness or depth that grasped you, not only emotionally, but also mentally. I found myself at times throughout the film asking, "What the fuck does that have anything to do with the plot?" Let's get into some deeper plot analysis.

Review: 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before'
Pretty sure you've all heard about "To All the Boys I've Loved Before," the latest teen romance movie to hit Netflix and crash the Twitter universe. If you haven't watched it, I highly suggest you do (unless you're recently single, then you should heal your wounds first and then watch this sappy movie).

Why Shows like 'Returning the Favor' Give Hope
Like many other people, I have been known to scroll through my Facebook feed and click on videos that I find interesting, informative, or funny. One day earlier this summer, I was drawn to a video tagged Returning The Favor. I had no idea what the video would be about, and in all honesty, the video's subject escapes me while writing this. I suppose it doesn't really matter, as I wait eagerly for the next instalment of the show to drop on Facebook Watch. At the time, I saw that Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs was involved, so I was in. I've always liked him, so I was curious about what would draw him to a show on Facebook Watch.

'BlacKkKlansman' Movie Review
The story of Ron Stallworth in BlacKkKlansman is absolutely insane. Midway through the film, I forgot that these things really happened because everything about it seems so surreal. Spike Lee has had a wildly inconsistent career. You don't know whether his next film will be a radical, powerful masterpiece (Do The Right Thing), a monumental failure (his Oldboy remake) or an alright experiment (Chi-Raq). The fact that he received the Grand Prix at the 2018 Cannes film festival for his newest film BlacKkKlansman confirmed that perhaps this could be in the same vein as Do The Right Thing. Is it radical? Yes. Is it powerful? At times. Is it a masterpiece? Sadly, no. I found this film to be very entertaining and thought-provoking like Lee's best work, but it fell short of greatness due to it being extremely simplistic in its display of the KKK or why racism exists in this country. The conversation stops at racism is bad and racists are dumb republicans. I wanted to see something deeper as to why this hate is alive and well, but I didn't get that.
