A Film Addict Reviews! Seven Samurai
I am an avid gamer. I’ve played the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2, Overwatch and most recently, Apex Legends. One game I have recently enjoyed a lot is Ghost of Tsushima. For those who don’t know or have ever played it, It is the story of a samurai, whose whole clan has been wiped out to the mongols. It is up to you, to save the island of Tsushima to save the mainland of Japan. I have had a lot of fun playing it and I’m genuinely excited for the new update that’s coming out this Friday. In honor of this update, I wanted to see one of the inspirations for the game. So, without further ado, I present to you Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai.

My Review of "Neil Brennan: Women and Black Dudes"
Neil Brennan: Women and Black Dudes is a comedy central special that came out back in 2014. It's only an hour special and by the end of it he left me kind of wanting more. That's a great thing. Although this special came out 6 years ago it does seem to still have very much the same relevance today.

In this chapter of ‘the filmmaker’s guide’ we’re actually going to be learning about literature and film together. I understand that many of you are sitting in university during difficult times and finding it increasingly hard to study and I understand that many of you who are not at university or not planning on it are possibly stuck of what to do, need a break or even need to catch up on learning film before you get to the next level. This guide will be brief but will also contain: new vocabulary, concepts and theories, films to watch and we will be exploring something taboo until now in the ‘filmmaker’s guide’ - academia (abyss opens). Each article will explore a different concept of film, philosophy, literature or bibliography/filmography etc. in order to give you something new to learn each time we see each other. You can use some of the words amongst family and friends to sound clever or you can get back to me (email in bio) and tell me how you’re doing. Ride Time: The Story about ‘The Star Report’
You’d buy your ticket, run through the empty space where the bars are not teeming with people, get on the ride, and strap in. The attendant would make sure you’re secure. In a COVID-19 world, this scene could play out in any amusement park that still wanted to acknowledge pandemic parameters, masks and sanitizing stations included. But this is just a metaphor for a YouTube show hosted by Troi “Star” Torain that just feels like a rollercoaster ride.

I can't say I've bothered listening to The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. The few times that I did attempt it, I wasn't overly drawn in. But, even if I'm not listening, millions of other people most definitely are. Heck, according to the National Post, his podcast gets 190 million downloads per month. Like, wow, that's....a whole lot of downloads, dude.

Samuel L. Jackson Returns As Nick Fury On Disney+
Nick Fury has become one of Marvel’s best known characters over the years. The version of the character who appeared in the Ultimate Marvel universe was based on the appearance of Samuel L. Jackson, and it was very satisfying to see Jackson portray the character on the big screen. Fury has been a staple of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ever since he appeared in the post-credit scene for Iron Man back in 2008. The inclusion of the character was effective in hinting at a larger world, which few people could have imagined becoming as big as it is on the screen in live-action form. He was instrumental in bringing the Avengers together, fighting for SHIELD when HYDRA revealed itself to be active in 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and helping Captain Marvel in 1995, where we got to see a younger and more lighthearted Fury (as well as an underwhelming reason for his eye-patch).

Stevie T, youtuber for the thirty-somethings
There are several youtubers that I love watching. There is a channel for every topic you could think of. Depending on the mood I am in at the time, I can always find a channel that lets me watch whatever I feel like. However, there is one youtuber that stands out to me above the rest. He’s one that I can watch and always find myself laughing with, despite how I may be feeling. But more than that, I can relate to him on a more personal level. This incredible youtuber is Steve Terreberry, better known as Stevie T.
