Bumbles Magic
Bumbles Magic Bumbles loved doing his magic for children. In fact magic could only be done with children because children believed. Without belief, there was no magic. Adults were generally cynical and didn’t believe in magic. That is why adults were entertained with tricks, instead of magic.

Senseless
Everything is different now- ever since They took over. They were the ultimate sufferers in the previous world, the abused, the neglected, and the stepped on. They rose up as a group, all at once, globally. It was incredible in the darkest of ways. If it weren’t for the new “Senseless Rules” that They put into place I think that a lot of their ideals honestly have the best of intentions.

The Attack
Maesyn Mercia lay awake in bed, fiddling with the gold, heart shaped locket around her neck; her thoughts on the last words her mother spoke to her. “Don’t trust them”, she had said as she pressed the locket into Maesyn’s hand. She had never seen her mother or father again after that night. They had gone with the men in suits who had knocked on their door. Maesyn’s mother had told her and Jamie to hide until they were gone and not to try and follow them. Maesyn glanced up at the bed above her where her little brother slept.

The Mark of The Locket
They called themselves the Locket League, and at first the alliteration wasn’t doing them any favors. We laughed, even as we huddled in the fractured shadows of skyscrapers and foraged in the parks for wildlife that hadn’t lived there since even before The Cataclysm. There weren’t many of them, a handful of people in robes that looked like they were running late for a LARP, but their voices were loud. Promises rang out over the dejected ears of the squalid folk in the city. Promises of prosperity, of homes made of more than tattered plastic and rusted out vans. Most importantly, promises of power.

Doppelganger
DOPPELGANGER I heard a scream, a screeching of brakes, voices that were yelling in alarm, but dulled by the throbbing in my ears, then I knew no more. The yellow sedan that had hit me as I crossed the street finally came to a halt over my prostrate form.

The White Castle
Bella stepped out of the gilded golden carriage, which was drawn by a team of five majestic white Pegasus, onto a platform that could only have been made of clouds and magic. Grinning, she rushed through the towering gates, made of shimmering clouds, onto a gravel path that wound through the cloudy forest.

Peace of my Soul
My name is Ensign Eric Harden and today I am going to war. Today is the last day before I leave for Honolulu Hawaii for my first posting aboard the USS Arizona. There are others with me who are heading to the same place or somewhere like it but I do not know their names. I can see their faces and see the same facsimile of excitement and nervousness written across their features. Many are dressed like me in pressed blue and white; the uniform of a sailor. Some are wearing their government issued hats as instructed and some are worn cocked to the side as a testament to the young man's bravado possessed by many.

A Terrible Knight
Schlap. Schlap. Schlap. Dozens of grimy feet slapped through the abandoned warehouse, kicking up dirt and guck. Incomprehensible, angry chitter filled the air, bouncing off the rickety walls. Little green and gray heads with large, pointed ears began to pop up from seemingly nowhere, to welcome home their families, and see what all the fuss was about. Goblins rushed through the warehouse, baring their yellow, saliva-covered teeth in angry defeat. One small goblin, with rough gray skin and little wisps of white hair ran up to another, tugging on the ripped and stained tunic she adorned.

All Because of a Silver Locket
All Because of a Silver Locket Trapped in my own little world, as I laid asleep in my bed dreaming of a beautiful world full of love, happiness, and freedom. I imagined my wings unfolding and taking flight in the beautiful sky. The birds were so graceful, you wouldn’t think they were real animals. Then suddenly the skies filled with dark, angry clouds, and all of the birds disappeared. I awakened to the all too familiar snipping sound of the surgeon pinioning my wings. Fear filled my entire body to the tips of my wings. Before I could stop it, I was falling endlessly into the dark abyss. The clouds thundered loudly and lightning so close I was sure I would be stuck.
