The Stranger on Platform Nine
It was a rainy afternoon in Prague, and the train station buzzed with the usual chaos—loudspeakers echoing destinations, footsteps clattering on old tiles, and the scent of coffee blending with metal, rain, and the faint smell of diesel. I was on Platform Nine, backpack in hand, waiting for a train to Vienna.

"When the Sky Turned Lavender"
It was the middle of March when the sky above their school first turned that soft shade of lavender, the kind of color that comes right before sunset, when day hesitates before giving into night. That’s when Ayan first noticed Rayyan—not just as the quiet boy in the last row, but really noticed him.

The Night That Changed Everything
I still remember the color of the sky that night—an impossible shade of dark blue, where the stars looked like scattered pieces of broken glass. The world was quiet, unnaturally so, as if it too was holding its breath. I had no idea when I left the house that evening that I would return a different person.

I Regret Going to College
I work full-time and still don’t make enough money to cover my bills. I make more than minimum wage and normally avoid buying things for myself. I haven’t bought new clothes for myself in over two years, and I don’t buy name brands. If I had a medical or other emergency I wouldn’t be able to afford it, and it would cost my job if I missed work. I don’t even own a car, so I wouldn’t be able to use DoorDash to earn extra income.

revenge
This year, i began secondary school. Kinda like high school. I was really happy, too. I’d been dreaming of going to this secondary school because it was one of the top in the country. I was really grateful my grades were good enough to land me a spot there. My worries were that I wouldn’t be able to catch up in class, and that i wouldn’t be really dumb. It’s kind of funny now that i think back upon it, because right now, they are the least of my worries.

You Taught My Shadows to Shine
The rain lashed against the windows of the old house, a relentless drumming that mirrored the tumultuous storm brewing within me. Tonight, the wind howled like a banshee, rattling the panes and sending shivers down my spine, but it wasn't the storm outside that held my attention. It was the storm inside, the one that had been gathering for years, finally ready to break.
