Goals Achieved and Dreams Yet To Come
I'm not making any specific resolutions this year, for Vocal, or for anything else. As most people who set New Years Resolutions can tell you; that rarely ends in anything but disappointment, guilt, a lingering sense of shame and failure, and a general feeling of futility.

Writing About Writing: Points of Divergence
In any story building off pre-established events, whether that's fanfiction, alternate history, speculative future fiction, twisted fairytales, or some other re-telling, there has to be a point of divergance. Even stories involving Time Travel relate to this: if someone is messing around with history, then there are going to be changes, whether intentional or otherwise.

The Magic of Christmas
Of all the times of the year to break up, Valentine's Day was undoubtably the worst. Coming a close second, however, was right before Christmas. Tis the season when everyone is scrambling to finish their workload before the shut-down, all you wanted to do was curl up on the couch and mope over a tub of ice-cream, and you kept getting messages from family asking whether your new ex- would be joining you for the holiday. Didn't really put you in the mood of holiday cheer, peace, and goodwill toward men.
