When I Am Normal I am me

When I write I am who ever I want to be

When I Am Normal I am me

When I am normal, I am me,

But when I write, I am set free.

I lock the other person at my desk,

And write, unafraid to take a risk.

The normal me is quiet, polite,

The writer me, bold and full of light.

Sex and scandal flow from my pen,

Then when it’s on vocal.media,

I am the old me again.

So I am two, but only one,

I really am enjoying carrying this on.

So like me, comment, share your view,

But to the other poetry person,

be polite—that’s not me, it’s true.

This is a playful look at the writer's dual personality! It's like, "I’ve got my quiet, polite side, but when I write, I let loose and take risks!" It’s fun to see how the writer juggles both sides and stays true to themselves while being bold on the page.
