Wagon Wheel and Daffodils

Happiness re-lived

A thing of beauty is a joy forever,”

wrote John Keats in his 1818 poem 'Endymion'.

Its words still hold true, always will.

Many years ago,

while passing through a rural pastoral town,

I noticed a wooden wagon wheel,

under a large oak tree.

Nearby, there was a bright patch

of yellow daffodils.

As I glimpsed the scene, I felt delighted.

Many years have passed since then,

yet I still remember that beautiful spectacle.

Today, I wanted to give a tribute

to that quiet moment of joy

that grew from such a simple sight.

I painted in watercolor,

re-lived the happiness yet again.
