Two Minds of a Poet
Maybe it’s the left and right side of the brain.

Two Minds of a Poet
There are two minds in every poet’s head,
One lives in shadows, where darkness is bred.
It whispers of sorrow, of pain and despair,
Of nights cold and empty, of burdens to bear.
The other is gentle, with love in its song,
It paints the world bright, where hearts belong.
It speaks of the sunrise, of laughter and grace,
Of warm tender moments, a kind, soft embrace.
Together they hover, like doves in the air,
One dark as the night, one pure and fair.
Over a quill and a book open wide,
They spill their truths, side by side.
For a poet is both, the shadow, the light,
A writer of daydreams, a voice in the night.
And through their words, the world can see,
The two minds that shape their poetry.

I've been writing poetry since the age of 10. With pen in hand, I wander the realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture you ❤️#Marie381UkWrites

This poem perfectly captures the duality of a poet's mind. It highlights how both light and darkness shape our creativity and experience. Such a beautiful reflection on the complexity of emotions!
Keep on the good work
Beautifully written, friend.
