I’m out and about
Strutting through the daffodils
Flicking back my hair
Doing my thing
I feel your stares
I hear your whispers
I just don’t fucking care

Making flower chains to wear
Dressed like a star
Wearing comfy shoes
Jonquils blooming
I have the blessing of sunshine
Upon the breeze’s kisses
Now that’s what’s up

I’m confident in my stride
Walking beneath rainbow arches
With my head held high
Following my own path
Skipping to my own tune

Dancing in the rain

I love the confidence in this. It reads like a declaration of freedom—unbothered, self-led, and fully alive. Spring is not just in the scenery here, it’s in the voice.
Tomorrow is my birthday, so I'm attached to March. The images of daffodils and jonquils made me think of my birthday month. I love the attitude in the poem. That also resonated strongly with me. Really enjoyed this poem. Congratulations on a well-deserved Top Story!
