Tangled Threads

Depression is the hardest illness to deal with

Tangled Threads

In a storm

Of scribbled lines,

Where thoughts collide,

like twisted vines,

A restless mind

begins to fray,

Pulled apart

in disarray.

Hands pressed

Clutching tightly,

blocking sight,

As shadows bloom

from mind’s deep fight,

Overwhelm,

a silent scream,

Reality just dream.

Each strand a task,

undone, unspoken,

Promises made,

tangled, broken.

The harder I try

to pull them straight,

The mess returns,

as if by fate.

Beneath the chaos,

soft and slight,

I search for calm,

a beam of light.

But still it weaves,

this endless thread,

Till I am lost

inside my head.

A whispered plea,

a fleeting breath,

To find a pause,

to escape this depth.

Yet through the haze,

I still believe,

That someday soon,

I’ll start to breathe.
