Verse 1

There’s a shadow at my doorway, counting every breath I take

Cold hands in my pockets, like a debt I didn’t make

Paper walls and promises, voices lost in lines

A thief behind the curtain, stealing seconds from my time

Verse 2

He wears a suit of silence, speaks in codes and charts

Trades my peace for waiting rooms, tries to fracture fragile hearts

Every ticking minute feels like something I could lose

But I’ve walked through darker valleys-I refuse to be refused

Chorus

I rise like fire through the ache, I won’t be undone

He can’t steal what I defend, I’m not the only one

Every scar’s a battle cry, every breath I claim

I outlast the night he brings-I outgrow the pain

He’s just a ghost with empty hands, I’m stronger than belief

I am not the broken ground-I’m the ground beneath the thief

Verse 3

There’s a ledger full of worry, numbers carved in stone

But I am more than what they owe, more than what I’m shown

He tries to write my ending in a language made of fear

But I rewrite the story every time I persevere

Verse 4

Through the cracks of every system, through the weight of every no

There’s a stubborn kind of hope that he will never know

He can circle like a vulture, he can whisper I’m alone

But I’ve built a will of iron in the marrow of my bones

Bridge

Let him knock like thunder, let him try again

I’ve been bent, not shattered-I will never bend the same

Every time he reaches, every time he claws

He reminds me who I am-and everything I’m not

Final Chorus

I rise like fire through the ache, I won’t be undone

He can’t steal what I defend, I’ve already won

Every scar’s a battle cry, every breath I claim

I outlive the night he brings-I outshine the pain

He’s just a ghost with empty hands, I’m stronger than belief

I am the light he can’t eclipse-I outlast the thief
