I see her as she sees me.

What if the skies are god's eyes?

Dark clouds spot her irises

With blazing sun pupils

Her gaze grows the roots in my garden

Attempts I make

To truly see her

Nearly blind me

When god weeps

Her tears rain down floods

Rivers swell with her numinous ache

Our pain one body of water

Blinking in eclipses

Her lightning eyelashes flutter to the ground

With full moons she stares

Illuminating starry memories

She ruminates on the past nightly like I do

Rough edges of reality

Fade from periphery to horizons

Attention that could warm entire oceans

Her obsession has burned me before

My stinging skin peeled from her constant surveillance

Though god's neglect is ice cold

She crafts cruel glaciers of abandonment

But she breaks dawn with clear sight

In her ritual sunsets I know

I am finally seen

She whispers to me

In gold and tangerine
