Rustle of Destiny

Where the morning gale carries echoes of what was lost.

By Aahna RajeshPublished about 3 hours ago 1 min read

A hope after a disaster,

flew up, awakening her.

To search, to fly, to find the destiny she left fore.

She flew with other species, following them.

Feeling safe, she joined them,

Ready to face the reality of nature and fate.

A sudden gale pushed her back, as if it was roaring back,

She caught a glimpse of her parents-

The ones she lost in the storm,

And the memory made her tearful-eyed.

During the hush of the morning gale,

She heard a rustle that echoed,

A sound that soothed her soul.

She followed the whisper through the gale,

Assuming it to be the final destiny.

The rustle took her to a place filled with joy,

She wandered through it like a feather – light toy.

She found someone her journey had been leading her toward-

To whom she could only be a soft gleam of a hidden space,

But never a mate of life.
