New Year’s Resolutions

As the calendar turns, a fresh start in sight,

I set my intentions for the year’s bright light.

To shed what’s heavy, to feel light and free,

A journey of health, for the best version of me.

But alongside this goal, with hope in my heart,

I dream of the lottery, a brand new start.

To win big and smile, to let go of strife,

Manifesting abundance, a change in my life.

So here’s to the balance, the work and the wish,

To chase after both, and savor life’s dish.

A year of transformation, of growth and delight,

With weight lost and fortune found in the night.

In a search for enlightenment I discovered that enlighten meant losing about fifty pounds… Lol. 😂🤗
