The sun sets

With its lavishing colors of orange purple and pink tones

in the sky

The crescent moon shinning brightly

Up

in the sky

A owl is sitting silently on a tree branch keeping watch

As the sun is done setting

The sky is pitch black

The stars are twinkling high up

in the sky

It’s quiet, no sounds to be heard

As I lay down on the ground

Watching, the stars dancing,

in the sky

I feel, a rain drop fall, on my head

Up

In the sky

I see, a flashing bulb of lightning crash, down to the ground,

a few seconds later I hear, the rumbling sound of thunder,

I look back up

at the sky

Then a big flash of light comes down, just inches from where

I’m laying,

I hear a crackling sound of thunder,

within a few seconds a bolt of lightning crashes, down on me

I look back up

At the sky

A beam of light

High up

In the sky

Comes down on me

A voice

I recognize, tells me to come

it’s my time

To be

Up in the sky

For eternity

This is beautiful, Jennifer. You and I have a ways to go (hopefully) before we're in the sky. Such great imagery! I just love how this one flows.
