Inching up, unravelling slowly, assessing, processing, bruises unseen
Inner bells toll, loud as empty hallways, the echoes of hush
Sweat, old, stale like my unresolved acceptance, submerge in steamy salt
Bloody flesh, chafed mouth creased, a bitter sour sangria to swallow
Obtrusive glimpses, seep past weighted lids, mirroring shatters of me
