Grandad, Our Hero
Grandad stood so brave, so tall,
A guiding light for us all.
With gentle hands and a heart so true,
He always knew just what to do.
When troubles came, he faced the fight,
A hero’s strength, a beacon bright.
He gave us love, he gave us care,
A life of kindness, beyond compare.
He taught us lessons, showed us the way,
With words of wisdom every day.
Through laughter, tears, the highs and lows,
He stayed our anchor, steady and close.
Now he’s gone, but still we see,
His spirit lives in you and me.
His stories linger, his love remains,
A hero’s legacy in our veins.
Grandad died a hero, it’s true,
But in our hearts, he lives anew.
We’ll carry his name, his courage, his pride,
Forever our hero, by our side.

I've been writing poetry since the age of 10. With pen in hand, I wander the realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture you ❤️#Marie381UkWrites

Diversity in the poems is like the sea with the ebb and flow of this sea. The deeper you go, the more you come up with new gems. Bravo Marie
